General Affairs Office

Bamenda III Council has a general affairs office. This office works directly with the Secretary General, and the general secretariat in administrative duties and other assigned tasks. The office is also involve in drafting all administrative documents and letters for typing by the council typist.

Development Officer

Bamenda III Council development office is very functional. The position of the Development Officer was recently created at the Bamenda III Council to be systematic in the follow up of its development process and out of the partnership engagement between PNDP and the Bamenda III Council.

Civil status department

Bamenda III Council Civil Status department is the most sensitive office of the council. This is because it deals with documents that have to do with people’s life. We produce documents such as birth certificates for both old and new births, marriage Certificates, death Certificates, single status or Certificate of celebrity, on- opposition, Authenticity and Certification. The chief of this department Mr Koti Humphred was transferred from the city Council to the Bamenda Council when it was created since 2007.

The treasury of the Bamenda III Council operates in two dimensions;

  1. Revenue collection (income)

  2. Payment of expense ( expenditure)

The Council revenue comes from global taxes, business licenses, additional Council tax, market tolls, direct council tax, building permits, and stamp duties, parking fees, quarry fees, advertising fee and FEICOM.

Water Department

From the famous saying that ‘water is life’ it’s not different with the Bamenda III Council Water scheme which from its purity and availability has been a great source of blessing to the Council and the Community at large. With this, the Mayor saw the need of creating a department that can take care of the management of the Council water project.

Technical Department

Bamenda III Council technical department is the organ of the Council charged to bring the physical development of the Municpality, such as infrastructure, planning, road networks, and the creation of farm to market roads. Also, the department is charged to dis-enclave, enclave zones. It is also involve in the protection of Council property.

Communication Department

Bamenda III CouncilCommunication Department has a public relation officer who runs the communication department in the council. Its main role is to develop and deliver effective and professional communication and public relations engagement strategies for the Council. Identify media opportunities write media releases and work with the Mayor to respond to media enquiries. In a nutshell, the public relations sells out the image of the Council to the Public.
